Taking Your Medicine!

.
Homeopathic remedies are typically prescribed in either liquid, or tablet form.

It is important that the person taking the remedy has nil-by-mouth for at least 15 minutes prior to taking the remedy, and for at least 15 minutes afterwards, too.

During the course of the Homeopathic treatment, it is also essential that the patient avoids eating or drinking certain foodstuffs, as these can impact negatively on the effectiveness of the remedies.

A full list of substances to avoid is provided whenever a remedy is supplied; however, the most commonplace items to avoid are coffee - both the drinking of coffee, and inhalation of the aroma (sorry!), and camphor, menthol, peppermint, and eucalyptus and any products containing these substances or derived from them.

During the course of your treatment, it is likely that you will need to forego your usual brand of toothpaste, due to the likelihood of it containing mint or peppermint derivatives; an excellent quality alternative toothpaste I recommend is Tom's of Maine, Fennel Toothpaste, available to buy instore at Sainsbury's, or from specialist online suppliers such as The Ethical Superstore.
